Presence & Perspective Coaching

You can’t cover the whole world in leather. But you can leather the soles of your own feet.

You can’t control what people say. You can’t control what they do. You can’t rewrite what has already happened or guarantee what happens next.

But you can change the way you walk through it.

Less replay.More living.

Welcome

A space for women who are ready to spend less time outside themselves—and more time actually living.

Less time replaying, overthinking, blaming, predicting and trying to control everything beyond their reach. More time noticing what is here, seeing clearly and choosing what happens next.

A different way forward

What if you didn’t have to fix everything?

So much of our energy is spent trying to rearrange the world so that we can finally feel okay.

If they would just change.

If that hadn’t happened.

If I knew what was going to happen.

If she hadn’t said that.

If he understood.

If I’d made a different decision.

If life would just go according to plan.

But what if peace doesn’t come from finally getting the whole world to cooperate?

What if it begins with learning how to meet the world differently? That’s the work we do here.

Presence

Come back to what is.

Rumination takes us backwards.

Worry takes us forwards.

Presence brings us back here.

We learn to notice when the mind has disappeared into yesterday’s conversations, tomorrow’s possibilities and stories that may not even be true.

Not by pretending difficult things haven’t happened. But by recognising when thinking about them has stopped being useful.

You don’t live in yesterday.
You don’t live in tomorrow.
Your life is happening here.

Perspective

The event is one thing. The story we tell ourselves about it is another.

Why did that affect me so much?

Why do I always react this way?

What am I assuming?

What am I trying to control?

What belongs to me—and what belongs to someone else?

Instead of“Why are they doing this to me?”Ask“What can I do from here?”

Perspective isn’t positive thinking. It’s learning to see clearly enough that you have a choice about what happens next.

The leather on your feet

There will always be rough ground.

There is an old Buddhist teaching about trying to cover the entire world in leather so we never have to feel the rough ground beneath our feet.

Impossible.

Difficult people. Disappointment. Change. Uncertainty. Endings. Beginnings. Things we didn’t choose and things we cannot control.

But we don’t need to cover the world. We can put leather on our own feet.

That is Presence & Perspective. Not controlling the world around you.
Learning how to walk through it.

Presence & Perspective Coaching Sessions

This isn’t about sitting across from someone who tells you how you should live your life.

It’s a conversation that helps you hear yourself differently. Together, we look at what’s happening, what’s keeping you stuck, what you’re reacting to, what you’re carrying, what you’re trying to control—and what is actually yours to change.

Less“How do I make them different?”

replay · reaction · what if?

More“What can I do differently?”

awareness · choice · you

Where Is Your Tongue?

A book about catching yourself in the moment.

Before the reaction.
Before the spiral.
Before you say the thing you’ll spend the next three hours replaying in your head.

Where Is Your Tongue? takes mindfulness out of the meditation room and puts it into ordinary life—relationships, conversations, arguments, overthinking, awkward moments and all the beautifully messy bits of being human.

Practical. Funny. Real.

No mountaintop required.

Words to live by

Ancient Buddhist wisdom has a surprisingly useful place in very modern lives.

Not as rules. Not as religion. As little reminders to come back to ourselves.

“Peace comes from within.
Do not seek it without.”

A collection of Buddhist teachings, reflections and everyday perspective shifts for the moments when your mind has wandered off without you.

Read the words

A pause, right here

Maybe nothing outside you needs to change today.

Maybe today is simply about noticing.

01Where has your mind gone?

02What story are you telling yourself?

03What are you trying to control?

04What are you tolerating?

05What are you reacting to?

06What can you actually do something about?

And perhaps the most important question:Where are your feet right now?

Come back here.
This is where your life is.
